Family Library

The Family Library is open to families, professionals, and community members. Out of province residents can search the Family Library Collection.  A Child Health Information Specialist is available to conduct reference searches on health topics and to help families in effectively using the Internet for their health information needs.

Can I borrow?
Borrowing privileges are extended free of charge to families, caregivers, community-service providers and other health care professionals.

How do I borrow?
The library collection is in the process of becoming automated. Until we are online completely, resources can be signed out using our Card Catalog System and by filling out an Information Sheet in the Family & Community Resource Centre.

How many resources can I sign out?
You may sign out a maximum of five resources.

How long can I borrow?
All resources are available to borrow for three weeks. To renew a resource please phone (403) 955-7745 or e-mail childhealthinfo@calgaryhealthregion.ca with your name, due date and the titles of your resources.

Where do I return my book/DVD?
Books can be dropped off in the Book Return Bin in the Family & Community Resource Centre.

What if I have questions or comments?
Your feedback is important to us - please let us know about any problems, questions or concerns you have with anything you have seen while browsing the Family Library Collection.
