To ensure families begin their
search with reliable information, Child and Health Information
Services offers health related information so families
can make informed decisions and advocate regarding their
child's care.
Information
Prescriptions (Info Rx's) provide professionally
recommended information on a variety of child health topics
such as: Asthma, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder,
Autism, Coping with Teasing and bullying, Managing Challenging
Behaviors. Hard
Copies of all Info Rx’s are available in the Family
Library. They can also be downloaded from
our website.
Child Health Information Service
along with Community Education
Service hosts "Parent
Power Hour" where parents get together free of charge
to learn about a variety of topics through videos, handouts,
and discussions. Upcoming sessions are available
on the Community Education Calendar.
For help finding information,
a Child Health Information Specialist is available in the
Family & Community
Resource Centre from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday - Friday
with the exception of statutory holidays. To have an Information
package compiled for you please contact the CHIS at the
